The Poet of the Piano – Traces of Fryderyk Chopin

We would love to invite you on a 5-days trip around Poland, during which you will discover beautiful and interesting places in Poland connected with Chopin. Depending of the arrival date there is an opportunity to participate in musical events dedicated to Chopin’s works.

Zelazowa Wola is the birthplace of the composer. Fryderyk Chopin Museum, located in a little manor house and two modern, recently built pavilions, is surrounded by large modernistic park with plants from all over the world. Here the “Chopin Sunday Recitals” are held.
Chopin trail in Warsaw:
- Chopin monument in Royal Baths Park, where concerts take place during summer
- Chopin Museum, where there are original manuscripts and documents written by the composer are, photographs and sculptures of him, letters, as well as hosting piano recitals and competitions of Chopin’s works.
- St. Cross Church with the Composer’s heart built in the wall (on October 17th each year there is a symbolically performation of Mozart’s Requiem)
- Powazki Cemetery – the oldest historic cemetery in Warsaw, one of three national cemeteries, where the tomb of the Composer’s parents is located
- Philharmonic – the place of the International Piano Competition
Krakow Old Town and surroundings: Wieliczka Salt Mine, Ojcow, Pieskowa Skala are places, which were visited by Chopin during his holidays over 180 years ago
Chopin was a guest in Princes Radziwill Hunting Palace in Antonin. Here, in a beautiful surroundings concerts of The International Festival “Chopin in the colors of Autumn” are held annually.
In this small spa town the 16-year old Master gave a concert. In Duszniki Zdroj International Chopin Festival takes place in summer. The Festival is the oldest piano festival in the world, organised each year since 1946.
