Winter in Lesser Poland
Lesser Poland has the best conditions to practise winter sports in Poland. This region can boast a perfectly prepared slopes, more than 55 ski resorts, over 300 ski lifts, 250 km of slopes and rich range of recreational activities. Winter sports centers are growing and they are constantly being upgraded, there are also many modern solutions introducing, such as common ski passes for several stations and modern training equipment for the beginners. Safety of skiers and snowboarders is also increased by the police, investigating the sobriety of the people on the slopes.
Lesser Poland has also many winter resorts ready to admit thousands of tourists. Szczawnica, Krynica and Zakopane, the winter capital of Poland, are just waiting for them. In Szaflary, Zakopane, Bukowina and Bialka Tatrzanska modern thermal pools were built. Most geothermal water of the Podhale region has healing properties. During the colder months of the year, bathing in warm water becomes something extra special, and lets you get close to the state of wellness (harmony of body and mind) and you can just relax after skiing or snowboarding.
